An exhibition that embraces art in all its forms, beginning with poetry and merging with illustration, graphics, and animation. A poetic mixed-media project that explores love, loss, and the relationship with oneself.
Chi viene e chi va represents the chaotic coming and going of affections, both friendly and romantic, in the timeline each of us is called to experience; they all come at one time and go the next. What we are left with are the memory and those who remain to live it with us. The themes of the poems range from love to loss, from existential trauma to abuse, from healing to the relationship with one's own image and body.
The exhibition stems from the expansion of the volume from paper to the physical world. The works previously featured as tracings become tangible once again, the pages transforming into cascades of text and postcards. All this is combined with new, unpublished illustrations brimming with the same urgent expressiveness. Accompanying them is the first exhibition screening of the animated short film presenting the new project Chi viene e chi va 2.0 – AR x Poetry, titled sōmnium. Since 2023, the collection has been digitally developed: an Augmented Reality expansion of the illustrated poems, reworked using 2.5D animation.
